Ancient beekeeping museum in Stripeikiai is the only such museum in Lithuania. It was established in 1984 by Bronius Kazlas and his wife. Now the exposition occupies 6 buildings, part of it is in open air. There are plenty of wooden sculptures in the museum; a few of them are also the hives.
In the museum one can learn about beekeeping development from ancient times until today. Special hives with glass walls shows, how bees lives and gathers honey.
Museum is visited not only by excursions. Newlyweds also come here. Museum workers honey lips of newlyweds and wishes sweet family life.
