There is one famous homestead in Užulėnis village, where the president of Lithuania Antanas Smetona was born. His parents, peasants Jonas Smetona and Julijona Kartanaitė had 7 children.
The original homestead of Antanas Smetona didn’t survived the Soviet times. It was burned down. But there is the model of the homestead, built in 1999. Also there is memorial stone in the place of the homestead.
