Vaišniūnai – village in the Aukštaitija (Highland) National Park on the northern shore of Dringis Lake. Švoginta River flows through the village and debouch into the Dringis Lake.
Vaišniūnai was mentioned for the first time in 1554. Now there is one of the biggest Aukštaitija National Park resort established in the village.
In the year 1894 there were 72 inhabitants in the village, in the year 2003 – 65 inhabitants.
